New Screenshots, German Article & Video Interview - 26th December 08

Fansite SimTimes have posted 8 new screenshots. 6 of these show actual gameplay

complete with the UI, rather than the usual staged screenshots.

Also, another fansite, SimDomination, have posted the entire article from German site Gamestar. Although it is in German, it still has some nice pictures.

Building Film Strip & New Interview - 20th December 2008

1UP.com have had yet another chance to talk to the guys over at EA. This time they interviewed Associate Producer Grant Rodiek.

"The Sims 3 is still very much about creating Sims, raising families, developing relationships, and telling your story. That's very much alive. However, now we give you this neighborhood and remove all barriers to exploring it. It's seamless, so we stay out of your way. It's a big step forward into letting players play the game how they want to play it."

New Trailer - 18th December 08

1UP have posted a new trailer for The Sims 3. This one focuses entirely on the Create-a-Style feature! I shows many different options and styles that you can choose for your Sim's clothing, furniture, houses and just about anything!

New VIP Blog & Preview - 17th December 08

GamesRadar have had the chance to get a hands-on experience with The Sims 3 recently! So they've very kindly posted an article about the game and, although nothing new is shown, they talk about the more positive features that have been included this time.

EA have now Officially released the system requirements for The Sims 3.

New Screenshots - 15th December 08

The Official Website for The Sims 3 has updated with two new screenshots. Plus, EA Poland posted one more today.

  


These have been added to the Screenshots section.



New Trailer, Screens, Interview, & Blog - 11th December 08

 
IGN has had another chance to speak to The Sims 3's Ben Bell. He talks about the general features of the game and also what players will discover they can now do which they couldn't before. Quite an interesting read.


Along with this came 2 screens & a trailer.

The trailer shows a Sim with some rather undesirable traits. Although this new video is slightly odd, it does show a good example of how the new open town will affect our gameplay.

Sim designer, Jennie Hozman talks about the new families in Sunset Valley, what they're lives are like and what secrets they may hold dear.

Ben Bell Interview - 9th December 08


TimesOnline have posted a video interview with Ben Bell. Here he talks about the games main new features and also shows us some gameplay, although it is similar to what was shown at the presentation inthe Netherlends last month.

Kikizo have posted a 4 page interview with Ben Bell. Some very interesting questions are asked with some new info.

The Sims 3 Promo Disc From Target - 5th December 08

The US Store, Target, have recently introduced a Promo disc for The Sims 3 that you can purchase at any of their stores for as little as $1. It is unknown if this is available outside of the US.

The Big Sister from The Sims 2 BBS has very kindly posted SEVEN screenshots that she received with the disc.

RockerMonkey has also posted some more images on Photobucket. They are screen captures of information cards from the disc.

Creator's Camp - 3rd December 08

A lucky selected few have been invited to EA Headquarters in San Francisco to create custom content for The Sims 3. This will take place in January and will allow talented creators the chance to play the game and create Sims, Houses, movies, custom objects and much more. The Sims team will be updating TheSims3.com throughout this time showing their progress and once the game is released, you will be able to download their creations online.
