Full Length GC2008 Presentation - 29th August 08
G4TV has posted the full GC2008 presentation of The Sims 3 on their website. Although no new information is given, and they show a shorter version of the video that was posted on the Official Website yesterday, it's still a worth while watch if you are a hardcore fan and don't like to miss out.

New GameSpot Preview - 29th August 08
GameSpot has posted a new preview of The Sims 3. This time they discuss some of the other new features such as Socializing, Create-A-Sim and Jobs.

New Official Videos - 28th August 08
The Official Website for The Sims 3 have posted two brand new videos.
The first one is a behind the scenes look at the Offices at EA where they are working hard on The Sims 3. Here we see lots of commentry from employees and bits and pieces of gameplay footage, mostly new.
The second one is all about The Sims game as a whole. It explains in depth what the game is all about, why it's so much fun and why so many people love it. Although no footage of The Sims 3 is shown, most of it is The Sims 2 and is still nice to sit back and watch. A must for any Sims fan!

New GC08 Video of The Sims 3 - 27th August 08
SnootySims has discovered a new video from GC08.
It consists of commentry from various employees at EA and breif glimpses of gameplay from The Sims 3. We also get to see the new Create-A-Sim in motion! It's a must watch!

Although it is not directly related to The Sims 3. I thought I'd mention that The Sims 2 Apartment Life, the eight Expansion Pack for the current Sims title is now available to purchase in the US.
Video Interview & New Preview - 25th August 08
PC Games has posted a video interview with one of the Developers for The Sims 3. It's rather short, and doesn't give any new information, but it's still a good watch.

Also in the news, the German Fansite Sims Time has posted their preview of what they saw at GC08. Although the article is in German, there are some nice photos of the demo shown.

More Photos & GC08 Video - 24th August 08
Sims2Fans.de has added 32 new photos from Leipzig. All showing the new features of the game. TheSims.de also added 48 new photos.
Also in the news, IGN have posted a somewhat small part of the GC08 Presentation of The Sims 3. It's little over 2 minutes long and doesn't show any gameplay. However, Ben Bell talks abouts the game and shows off some new images.

More Photos From Leipzig! - 21st August 08
InfiniteSims have posted a total of 48 photos from Leipzig, although some of these are from the previous websites, there are still lots of new ones.

Sims2Fans.de and TheSims.de have both uploaded lots of photos from Leipzig.
These pictures actually show in-game footage. We can see the new UI (Although not final) and how the game looks while it's being played. Finally!

The Sims 3 Official Release Date Confirmed - 20th August 08
EA sent out a press release today and announced that the Official release date for the new game would be... Get ready...
20th February 2009
This is exactly 6 months from today and a lot sooner than any of us thought it would be!
EA also mention the possibility of a Collectors edition that would include the entire game plus more goodies for your Sims such as an Italian-Style Sports Car. It would also include collectable Sims merchandise. This has got to be a must for all Sims fans.

The Sims 3 to be shown at Leipzig 2008 - 17th August 08
Leipzig, the wonderful games convention we all look forward to! This year, however, they'll be showing The Sims 3! What they'll be showing exactly is not confirmed. It maybe the same trailer we have already seen, or it might be something completely different and new. There's only one way to find out.
Leipzig starts on the 20th August - 24th August
I'd thought I'd quickly mention a good interview with Will Wright in which The Sims 3 is briefly mentioned. Nothing to jump out of your seat for, but if you're a fan of the big man, then do have yourself a read!

New Screenshots - 14th August 08
Two brand new screenshots have appeared of The Sims 3. One shows a group of Sims playing chess in the park, the other shows two Sims painting a portrait of another Sim, but in very different styles.

The Sims 3 Official Website Gets a Make-Over - 13th August 08
The Official Website for the game has had a completely new design implemented as well as some interesting new features. These include downloadable wallpapers and buddy icons and a community page with a new blog system. August's blog has already been posted by Ben Bell. There is also pages for chats and upcoming events. There is also some new screenshots, although most of them are screen captures from the trailer.
